Slow Down & Find Your Centre
Adage Pilates Centre is downtown Lafayette's first somatic, nervous system-informed reformer Pilates studio. It was built with one belief at its core:
that movement should never feel punishing.
Using spring resistance to lengthen, strengthen, and reconnect the body from the inside out, reformer Pilates is one of the most intelligent and adaptable movement practices available. Low impact and accessible to every fitness level. From complete beginners to seasoned athletes- we meet you exactly where you are.
At Adage we go deeper than the physical. Every class is taught through a somatic, nervous system-informed lens that helps you reconnect with how your body actually feels, not how it looks or performs. You will be challenged, supported, and met with complete care from the moment you walk through our doors.

Adage [a-DAHZH]
Adage is APC's signature class — and the fullest expression of everything this studio was built to be. Named for the classical ballet term that means slow, sustained, and deeply controlled movement, Adage class moves through full-body reformer sequences with a somatic flow that feels less like a workout and more like a moving meditation.
Excellent for all experience levels. No prior Pilates experience necessary.
Allongé [a-lawn-ZHAY]
In ballet, allongé means to lengthen — an instruction to extend, to reach, to create as much space in the body as possible. Allongé class is your total mind and body reset. Moving slowly and intentionally through guided meditation, deep stretch, and gentle reformer work, this class invites the nervous system to fully exhale.
Excellent for all experience levels. No prior Pilates experience necessary.
Allégro [uh-LEG-roh]
In ballet, allégro refers to quick, lively, and dynamic movement — the kind that gets the blood moving and the spirit lifted. At Adage, we brought that same energy to the reformer. Allégro class is athletic, upbeat, and intentionally challenging. You will be pushed — thoughtfully, purposefully, and with care.
Recommended for those with prior Pilates or reformer experience.
